This is an early children's game use to teach multiplication. There are two cards with a problem on one card (ie 3X2) and the answer (ie 6) on the other. There is also a picture of a bird or animal across the cards that matches when the correct pieces are put together.
There are similar games made by John Wallis c1815/20 and Carvahlo c1830. The pictures on the cards do not excatly match the two we've seen but so the maker is uncertain, but our guess is John Wallis

Multiplication Cards - Condition - Cards have been used but are in good condition - this set is 12 sets of cards (2, 3, and 4 times tables). It is difficult to know if this is complete, but feel it is or possibly missng one set.

An Interesting and different style of game, as the questions (and answers) are not as straight forward as they seem
Questions are asked and the person with the correct answer on their card must answer, forfeits etc apply.

How may we speedily become rich? “by contracting our desires”
What is worldly happiness? - “It is the gay tomorrow of the mind that never comes”
