A Rare and interesting board game that is " A game of skill which possesses dramatic interest"
The rules state that Trafalgar "should appeal to the popular and patriotic feelings of all grown-up English people, whilst it is fair to suppose that our sailor-loving youngsters will be equally captivated by the opportunity of contending in amateur Navel engagements"

The pieces are shown on a Halma Board, which is similar but not identical to the board shown on the rules, but could, and in one case we know was, adapted to play this game.
A board that would be large enough for the playing pieces layed out as shown would be over 24 inches in length.  We know of four copies of this game and none have an original board, which point to the board being a folded paper sheet that has been lost in the mist of time.
The game consists of two opposing fleets both with Admiral's Flag ships, Rear Admiral 's Ships and 10 ships.
There are also wreck-buoy to mark where ships have been sunk.
There appear to have been two versions one in a maple box and this style in a card box.  This game was copyrighted on 17/08/1894.

Trafalgar - Condition / Original Board missing - an Ayres Halma board can be provided / Playing pieces - complete (flag on flagship original) and good / Original Rules - Complete but one page is detached / Box good - some wear on the corners

Postage / As postage often changes it will be provided at time of purchase. Postage will be at cost rounded up to the nearest £1.00 to cover packaging.
