A Musical Game for children invented by L.M. Drummond Esq - 1806
On the game sheet “published for Didier and Tebbett. at their repository of instructive games for children and Juvenile Library of English, French and Italian books No 75 St James St, London 1806".
The only reference we can find to this game is a copy in the British Library – that is also without instructions.

Didier & Tebbitt published a number of games in the early 1800s, including:
An Historical Game of the Romans (1805) and
Historical Game of the Kings of England (including The Memorable Events of their reigns adapted to the Juvenile Capacity)(1804)
There seemed to be a link to Abbe Gaultier, as he is mentioned in some description and seems to advertise in the instruction booklets.

Musical Game - Condition - Sheet only / undamaged - but foxed / slight paper raise near bottom

Postage Free.

c1850 Historical Amusements
A pretty educational card game about Kings and Queens – consisting of 100 questions, 36 colored monarch cards, answer booklet and a lot of bone counters. The last entry in the booklet is “100 - Who did Victoria marry?”
This version was printed by William Turtle, 14 Woburn Buildings (who also printed earlier versions) for
N Carpenter at 11 Goswell Terrace, (1850-55) so the game was produced from c1834 - updated when Victoria became Queen (1837) and when she married (1840)
The box is slightly wider than the earlier version and the cards fit in better.
A version was also published by Rich'd H. Pease, and sold by Pease & Warren, the Temple of Fancy, 516 Broadway, USA in 1853.

Historical Amusements - Condition – Question cards very goood – 1 missing missing but this has been replaced with a good copy / Monarch cards - very good (all cards white backs) / booklet complete – no damage / Box – very good, clean but missing the raised outer edge.
